Champ Consultants director, Chantal Baker, has been accredited as an ATOL reporting accountant (ARA).

ATOL regsitered companies are subject to rigorous auditing and accounts reporting, to fulfil their statutory obligations. An Air Travel Organiser Licence (ATOL) protects consumers from losing money or being stranded abroad. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) introduced the Scheme to improve the quality of accountants’ reports on ATOL holders and to reduce the chance of an ATOL company ceasing to trade, which would then cause inconvenience and financial loss to consumers.

To be appointed as an ATOL Reporting Accountant, Chantal had to undertake specialist training in this niche area of accountancy. ARAs also have to undertake regular reviews to ensure the highest standard of reporting.

Chantal said “I am delighted to be able to provide this niche service to travel agencies and tour operators. We are one of the few firms in the Surrey to be accredited with this qualification. This is a great example of how we are big enough to offer the specialist services of a larger firm, but we are still small enough to offer a personal service.”

Champ Consultants offer a full range of accounting services to all sectors, helping business owners to grow their business and hopefully obtain that lifestyle business they deserve.
